The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is SRD to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance stage designed for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out read more programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
